STRESS. We all experience it, let’s talk about it.
We are officially one week into stress awareness month, so we’re going to chat through some of the most common stressors that we see in our own lives and the lives of our clients. Not only do we want to be aware of stress, but we want to learn how to thrive in the midst of it.
The first thing you see when you enter and the last thing you see when you leave. 🤍💐
Patience is a key ingredient to the therapeutic process. Long-lasting and deep healing doesn’t come overnight, but the patience in the process is worth it.
Let’s put the office to bed together ⭐️💤🌙
Welcome Home 🤍
We had the sweetest time at our first ever OPEN HOUSE! Clients, friends, and family came together to build community and we are so honored to have the opportunity to create a space that fosters those connections. We can’t wait to see you at the next one!
Join us on February 14th for an open house to build community, explore Be Found, and enjoy your home away from home! Can’t wait to see you there!
I get it. Life is a mess. Life is a sacred burden and gift for each of us. It often holds moments of glory and kindness, and moments of terror and sadness. A safe and quiet place for you to muck through it all is what I hope to offer.
I graduated from John Brown University with my Masters in Clinical Mental HealthCounseling in August 2020. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Mental Health Service Provider distinction. In addition, I am an EMDR trained therapist. I have worked with individuals and families for the past 4 years in private practice, clinical, and school-based settings. My clinical focus is predominantly with adult women and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, spiritual issues, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and trauma.
I view the work of therapy as a client-centered process. Within the process, I incorporate multiple treatment modalities for each client based on their experience. I work to give space for your unique story, all parts of it, to be grappled with and seen
I hope to hear your story, it truly is worthy of being heard and being lived.
Outside of the counseling space, I find myself running often, baking old family desserts, hosting as many people as possible in my home, playing sudoku, and any new game I’ve become fascinated with. My husband and I are low-key obsessed with our dog and take him everywhere. Maybe someday he will make his way into the therapy office, but for now he is out on hikes, trails, and sunbathing in the backyard.
The final core issue that we identify in the 6 core areas is attachment. Attachment allows us to be in secure relationship with others and ourselves, so it is arguably one of the most crucial steps in becoming a healthier you. We invite you to deep dive into this concept and identify aspects that resonate with your story and current reality in another step toward being a healthier human!
We are so incredibly awestruck by the resilience, camaraderie, and exemplification of Jesus that we have seen in @covenantknights over the last 7 months. We are so honored to carry on a beautiful partnership and friendship with them as they continue to navigate this season. If you visit our office and notice this image on the sidewalk on your way in or out, let it be a reminder of the power of community and the growth that is fostered when we come together.
The 4th of the 6 core issues is DEPENDENCY. When we reach a healthy level of dependency, we are able to see our needs and not be overwhelmed by them because we know what we can meet on our own and when we can ask for help. How many of your needs are being met by you? Too many or not enough?
The 3rd of the 6 core values is reality. If what we make up about our experiences is not rooted in truth, our relationships and thought life may become distorted. Take some time this week to be mindful of what you’re making up about what you experience. How are you making sense of what you see, hear, smell, and taste? Notice those senses and take note of your perception.
The 2nd of the 6 core issues is boundaries. When looking at childhood trauma, so much of what we find are blurred or bulldozed boundaries. We often don’t realize why we need boundaries until they are crossed without our knowledge. Let’s get proactive and discuss why we need them now!

The first of the six core issues is self-esteem. When we operate as fully functional adults, we are able to hold ourselves with warm regard and realize our inherent worth. Our functional self does not fluctuate between being less than or better than others in a state of comparison, but embraces the concept of inherent value.
In the work that we do, we focus on 6 core issues that address childhood trauma and allow us to have healthy relationships with others and ourselves. Informed by the work of Pia Mellody and adapted by the Healing our Core Issues Institute, the 6 core issues are addressed with each of our clients as we work toward realizing the functional adult self.
We are so excited to announce that we will be partnering with the @gsmidtn along with @day7inc to provide counseling throughout the summer on-site at camp to Girl Scouts campers and staff!
We kicked off the summer today with a training designed to equip the Girl Scouts camp staff with resources to maintain healthy minds and relationships as they lead their campers!
Here at Be Found, we believe that each of us are created on purpose and are one of a kind. We believe the same about each one of you. Therefore, our approach to counseling is tailored toward each individual client.
