Bekah Pogue

Well, come! I’m Bekah, and I’m glad you’re here! My heartbeat is to walk with individuals and couples from a compassionate and creative perspective. Whether you’re seeking healing, discovering your true voice, processing grief or trauma, or desiring a new path forward, I am handing you an imaginary permission slip to honor what brings you here. I am passionate about offering a safe, warm space for women of all ages, and couples from all walks of life. Listening is healing, and your story is worth being heard and understood.

I am a Marriage & Family Therapy Master’s Level intern from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. I view therapy from an attachment lens and look at the whole, mind-body-heart person in the context of relationship, culture, and community. I am passionate about normalizing grief, trauma, identity, and transition through secure attachment, boundary-setting, grief & trauma regulation, and mindfulness practices. Much of my journey that led to becoming a therapist I credit to a midlife awakening that began with grief and slowly unraveled years of trying to achieve through over-functioning and under-awareness. What I’m

continually learning is how to come home to myself. I consider it sacred work to empower others on their unique journey.

I grew up in Southern CA and moved up and down the coast before moving to TN 6 years ago for the green hills, barns, and room to breathe. I’ve been married 19 years, have two teenage boys, 2 dogs, and a porch cat. Our family’s dream is to have a retreat property in the country complete with a poetry barn, cottages, and a donkey rescue farm! I love honest conversations on the porch, adventuring new towns, offering hospitality to strangers, writing, foraging for beauty, hiking, and antiquing/thrifting. A perfect day would include brunch, a long walk, wildflower picking, reading a Henri Nouwen book and sitting around a bonfire with family and friends.

I look forward to offering a hospitable space for you to come home to your true, secure self.
